It's a nice sunny day outside and I realized that many people haven't seen all of the hard work Justin and my dad did last fall. The fence is up and beautiful. It makes a world of a difference when it comes to keeping the dogs from barking and privacy. I love it.

This is Justin's newest baby- his truck. Well, it's not new, but it is to us. We like it and even more so now that it got a clean bill of health at the last mechanic check-up. I like it even better knowing what we paid for it and the fact that we've already had people offer to buy it from us for more than we paid. It's a nice truck. And it does, believe it or not, fit in the gaurage- barely. I don't think I'm brave enough to try it, I'll leave that to Justin.

It was purchased with Justin's new mowing business in mind. Yes, Justin is starting a mowing business. If any of you know of someone in Lebanon or the surrounding area that is need lawn care service, please let us know!!!

My bookcase!!!! Justin is finally getting around to finishing my bookcase that he and his dad started for me last September!!! Today he is staining all of the pieces. Hopefully it will be put together in the next couple weeks! Yeah!!!

Chicken salsa crockpot meal

I've made this for a few people, including our Bible study last week, and have received a lot of inquiries for the recipe. This really is the easiest thing in the world to make. It only has 4 ingredients.

Chicken salsa crockpot dish

boneless, skinless, chicken (frozen is fine) (usually about 3 breasts will feed 4 people easily)
1 can corn, drained
1 can seasoned black beans, drained
1 medium sized jar of salsa

Mix aprox 1-2 cups of salsa, corn, and beans in bottom of crock pot. Add Chicken. Pour remaining salsa on top of chicken (enough to cover). Cook on high for 4-6 hours or low for 6-8 hours. Stiring a couple times to tear up chicken and mix corn and beans.

I like to top it with sour cream, cheese, and torn up tortilla pieces before eating. Very good dish that goes a long way. Enjoy!

Morganne's Birthday party

Here are some pictures from the big day. It was a beautiful 70 degrees outside with no rain. We couldn't have had better weather. We were so blessed to have family and friends join us in the celebration. A good time was had by all. The awesome cake was courtesy of friends Jeff and Debbie Grant (no relation :cP). They made our wedding cake too. They do such a great job!

Happy Birthday Morganne!

Sigh.... Our little girl turns 1 year old today! Oh how the time has flown by. Today she started doing something new too. She woke us up crying, but it wasn't the urgent cry so we tried to let it go, but then after 10 minutes or so, Justin felt bad for her so he went to check on her. She greated him standing up in her crib holding onto the side. This was the first time we have found her like this. Also, then at 7:30 when I woke up, I went in to check on her and she is crawling around her crib playing. She was in such a good mood, who knows how long she had been up playing by herself.

In reflection on this momentous day (getting the idea from my sister-in-law) I've posted pictures of Morganne from the past year. It's absoultely amazing how much babies change in the first year. We have been so blessed by our little Sweetpea.

Less than 1 day old in the hospital. Born 3/4/08 at 11:58pm 8lbs. 8.2oz, 21 inches long.

Morganne's first piece of artwork to hang on the fridge. On Monday they finger painted at the babysitters. Amanda said that at first Morganne didn't know what to think about it and tried to eat it, but then got the idea and had a lot of fun. It's so neat knowing that my daughter made this. I think it's beautiful!
