Afternoon with Annabel

Last Sunday we decided to get together with Derek, Lynsey, and Annabel. The girls got along very well and it was a good visit. We wish we lived closer so the girls could grow up knowing each other better. They are so much fun to watch. Here are a few pictures from the afternoon.

I have also included a video of Morganne singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She has been singing this song for about a month now. At first it took us a while to figure out what exactly she was singing as we noticed it was the same tune everytime and it always included "Up above" and her arms going up over her head. It was quite cute. Now she sings it all the time and wants us to sing it back to her along with Jesus Loves Me. There is nothing cuter. I'm so glad she did it for me on video. It's something I'll cherish forever...

Morganne's version of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" Listen for the "Up Above" and "How I wonder". She sings it almost two times through. She's quite proud of herself at the end. She makes us smile every day.

Summer with Nana

This summer once again, Morganne was blessed to be able to spend 2 days a week with her Nana while I worked. It saved a lot on daycare costs and Nana loved the opportunity to spend time with her Morganne. Growing up in the country is just so different, and we hope to be back there some day for our family. Here are a few pictures that Nana took of Mo during their summer together. We are so blessed.

I love this picture...

A few pictures from my cousin's wedding in June.

Morganne and her Nana.

Keep reading, I posted twice today with lots of pictures! It's been a busy week.

Growing up with Friends

The last two weekends have been great for spending time with friends and their kids. Today we went to the zoo with Gene, LeighAnn, Dylan, Brittany, Curtis, Niki, Cooper, Gracie, and my friend from work, Shell, her 3 kids and husband. It was a very fun day with great weather. Yesterday, Justin and I were fortunate enough to go to an Indian's game with Cathy and Chad. We had a great time there too and Justin actually snagged a foul ball! It was the first time in a long time we've gone out on a "date" with other adults and no kids. All the same, we were ready to see our little girl when we got home. Last weekend was Curtis' birthday. It's hard to believe he's 2 already. Here are some pictures from the last couple weeks.

Watching the dolphins swim overhead! She wasn't too thrilled with the dolphin show, but thought the underwater viewing area was great.

Morganne actually "goosed" a duck! She poked it's tail feathers making it quack! and then fly off. It was quite hilarious. She thought it was great!

And to believe that no one fell in! I love this pic.

Kids, kids everywhere!

History in the making

Everyone has seen video of Tiger Woods swinging a golf club at age 2-3 years. So, we decided to document Morganne's "ability" early in case someday she becomes famous. :cD It's just too cute. I can say she's been doing this for a while and her eye-hand coordination is quite good. Soon we will begin to teach her to be a switch hitter! :cP So far she swings right handed but often will throw left. Gotta love the softball and baseball influence. We've told her from the beginning that she will have to see Aunt Nicci or Brittany to teach her about basketball!!

Triathalon weekend

For the third time, Justin completed the Cicero Triathlon on Saturday, along with a few of our friends. They all completed and did a great job. They all beat their times from last year and Dan "The machine" Brownlee broke an hour!!! The weather held out and the sun waited to come out until the last person crossed the finish line which made for much cooler temps in the morning luckily. Morganne and Dylan were great and we cheered for their Daddy's (when Mo wasn't sleeping!). Here are some pictures from the morning. We are very proud of our Triathletes!!!
Cathy checking in to her first ever triathlon. She has been so nervous this past few weeks. She completed and did well for her first time. I definitely couldn't have done what they did!

Good morning sweet pea! It was an early morning for all of us.
Cuteness before the race began.
A before shot of the group, minus Dan. Justin, Gene, Cassie, and Cathy

Go Daddy!!!

An impressive swim, Gene arrived first approximately 6th out of the water.

Justin, you didn't die!!!! (I'm so glad! :c))

What cool orange toys for toddlers!

A foot race to the finish, Gene over took his competitor by the finish line. How he had this much energy left, beats me!
