Pumpkins, pumpkins, and more pumpkins!!!

Picking out the "best" pumpkin at the pumpkin patch.

It was a bit muddy....

Annual pumpkin carving get together with some of our closest friends.  We've been doing this for 6 years now.  (From these pics you can also see much of our new house too, for those of you who haven't visited yet!)

Caleb cheated and brought a power saw for his carving.

Pumpkin guts!

Mmmmm....carmel apples

If only you could hear the laughter coming out of Kaelynn at this moment.  Love that sound!

Let this challenge you.

We originally saw this video thanks to a close friend, who posted it on Facebook after she saw it at their church worship service.  We loved it so much and felt that its message was one that needed to be heard, that Justin worked it into his sermon this last Sunday. His sermon went great and the video
left a lasting impression on many of those that were there.  It's such a great message and a challenge to each and every one of us to see ourselves as God see's us and to see God as He deserves.  Absolutely, incredible.  I hope you take a few minutes to watch and really listen. I promise you won't be dissappointed.

Butterfly guest

On Tuesday we discovered that we had a visitor at our house.  It was this beautiful butterfly that quickly got the attention of everyone here.  It's getting colder outside, so I'm guessing he/she won't last long but boy is he cool to see.  Surprisingly, he's stuck around for the last couple days and has made it through frosty nights.  He likes to walk onto your hand when held out and today the girls became brave enough to try it.  Talk about amazing.  These creatures are so beautiful and gentle.  We will definitely be sad when we find him gone one morning.

So cool.

Grandad to the Rescue

Morganne "woke up" from her nap today in absolute hysterics and screaming in pain, because she had gotten her finger stuck in a plastic toy. After cold water and soap didn't dislodge her finger I called in Grandad to the rescue. He heard her screams in the background and said "I'll be right over!" Armed with a pair of side cutters and a lot of patience, he cut her finger free. I'm so thankful this didn't end up in an ER run. ;c) And yes, I made her endure getting her picture taken while it was all happening. hehe. Life with kids is never dull!

Firmly stuck, and definitely not coming off the way it went on.

The towel is over her head because we found that it kept her from freaking out as much! She could see me standing by her, but not Grandad cutting near her finger.
 Lesson learned????  Maybe.
After it was all done and Grandad had left, I made the comment "Man, I'm so glad that Grandad came to the rescue today for you."  Morganne answered, "Yeah, he's my super hero!"  ;c)  Thanks, Grandad.

Saying goodbye, until spring!

Last weekend we had our annual McCormack "goodbye until Spring" dinner for Papo and Phyllis.  They leave us for the winter and head south.  We miss them terribly while they are gone.  I am so blessed to live so close to them.  The girls have really gotten to know them well and look forward to our weekly Wednesday lunches.  Every Wednesday through the winter we will be missing them even more.  Have a good winter in Florida, Papo and Phyllis!  We can't wait until Spring to see you again!

Kaelynn and her "cousin" Maci, they go to the same daycare so they are growing up friends as well as family. So much fun!

Two of my girls' favorite people!

Ashley and her beautiful baby girl, Aubrey, the newest Great-grandchild on the McCormack side.

Morganne explaining a picture she drew for Papo.  She had one all drawn but while I was doing her hair before the party another little munchkin in our house decided to add her artistic flare to it.  Morganne then had to hurry and make a "new" one just for Papo.  I felt bad for her, but had to laugh on the inside too.

Goodbye Papo! See you soon!
