Picture update

The new ride.....  We love it, however yesterday I missed my car for about 20 minutes when trying to find a parking spot.
Warm weather means swimming fun!  The Acton's invited us over for an evening swim and dinner.  Morganne loved her first outing of the season!  Kaelynn, not so much.  Thanks to Lisa, a former client and friend for the adorable swim suits for the girls!

And some newer pictures of Kaelynn from the last couple weeks.  She smiles all the time and is just starting to giggle.  Unfortunately, she never seems to smile when the camera is out, and when I do catch one, it's most often blurry.  So, here are a few that I have caughten lately.
and an adorable yawn....
Took this picture today.  My two beautiful girls!!  They definitely look like sisters!!!

Also, as an update to my job situation.  I started my new job last week and so far everything is going well.  It's an adjustment, but it's a good one for now.  I miss being home with the girls, but we are tremendously blessed to have Amanda watch them each day.  She is so good with them and Morganne loves going to Miss Amanda's!!!

Update coming soon

My grandfather pointed out the other day that we hadn't updated our blog, and he was surprised to see we indeed had gotten a new van!  Yes, we were blessed with the loan clearing easily at the second bank and are the new owners of an '05 Nissan Quest.  We never ever thought we'd own a minivan someday, but then I think we grew up and realized the practicality of them and got over our "image" troubles.  We love it.    Pictures to come soon and also pics of the girls too.  Now, off to bed....

Money, arrrrrgh!

I HATE talking, dealing, and relying on money.  HATE HATE HATE, and I HATE word HATE!  We just recieved notice that we've been declined on our first attempt at a loan based on the mileage of the vehicle (roughly 13,800 a year)- how rediculus!!!  How many '05's out there have less than that!!!  He said our credit is good, but can't forgo a loan with this vehicle, so they said to find something newer- which means more expensive!!!    I can't believe it.  So, now we are at bank #2, with a higher interest rate, trying to see if it will go through and still have monthly payments within our budget.  And, we are supposed to pick the vehicle up today.  If this falls through I don't know what we are going to do.  This is the lowest mileage'd vehicle we looked at for the year, and I need a car by Tuesday!!!  I get my hopes up with how fast the Honda sold, and then crash.  Why can't things work smoothly sometimes!
Hint hint, I read Lisa's blog this morning and know the answer to this, but it still sucks.

Oh what a difference a day, week, month, year makes....

Babies, babies, babies!!!  Many of you have heard me say that I know SO many people that are pregnant or have had their baby recently right now.  Well, we'd like to congratulate LeighAnn and Gene on the newest baby within our friends' group, as they welcome baby Kyla Grace to the world!  We are so excited to have met her and watch her grow.  With the newest arrival and the upcoming arrivals of so many I sat down and wrote out a list of all of my "close" friends that have had recently or will have babies soon.  I define "close" as people I talk to more than 3-4 times a year.  I know many more....  It's truly craziness.
Starting last November '09
Caty had Celeste, first child
February
Candi had Layne, first
March
Tricia had Jesse, third
I had Kaelynn, second
April
Lindsay had Olivia, first
Cheri had Sophie, second
May
Cassie had Allie, first
LeighAnn had Kyla, second
Casey had Amelia, first
Soon to come....
June
Lynsey, boy, second
July
Traci, boy, second
August- the "big" month
Amanda, girl, first
Alana, girl, first
Brittany, ?, second
Kim, ?, tenth- yes, 10th :cD
Melanie, boy, first
September
Liz, girl, second
October
Leslie, ?, first

And it's very possible I've forgotten someone close....  Talk about a baby boom!  It's such a fun time.  Morganne learned her way around the hospital as we visited it 3 times in one week in April-May visiting new babies.

Big news these past couple weeks since my last post:
I have a new job and start this coming Tuesday.  I'm looking forward to beginning somewhere again, and making some money!, but not looking forward to sending the girls back to daycare.  Even though we truly are blessed with an awesome daycare for them to attend.

We sold our car- in 3 hours, after only posting a for sale ad on Craigslist once last week.  We never even put a For Sale sign in the window.  We are hopefully buying a van tomorrow, pending a loan clearance tonight.  It's at the underwriters now.  I hate going further in debt, but we have a need and I hope/pray that this is the right decision.  We need something that can accommodate the two car seats, a double stroller, and well, other stuff.  The Honda was a great little car, but you couldn't fit much more in it, after the kids and their "accessories".  I think we've found a good deal.

Justin has picked up some much needed lawn jobs, has taken the week off work to build us a new patio! (pictures to come soon), and is staying very busy.  Since baby Kyla arrived and we are in semi-desperation mode for buying a new vehicle, his plan of working on the patio all week has kinda of taken a back seat.  Oh well.  Luckily, it's not time sensitive really, and will get done eventually.

Kaelynn was dedicated at our church last week.  It was a very neat moment, lead by our friends Kim and Dan Lentz.  We were blessed to have my Uncle Mike in town and able to attend the service as well.

Now for some pictures from the last couple weeks:

My wonderful Mother's day surprise and my two Amazing reasons that make me a mother.
For mother's day we went to my parent's house for dinner and spent the day with my grandparents too.  Here is our four generations together.  I am so glad that my girls not only have wonderful grandparents to get to know, but also have a chance of getting to know their great-grandparent's too.  Such a blessing...
Great-Grandma spending a moment with Kaelynn.  I love it!
The "Greats" and their grandkids.
My two miracles....

God bless you everyone!

Sleeping beauty

Kaelynn fell asleep on our bed after her morning bath.  The sun was coming in right on her, I couldn't resist snapping a few photos.  Nothing sweeter....
Sharing her napping spot with Zeke.  They are approximately the same size right now.
and awake....

Fun and Family

Helicopter seeds!!!!  Well, that's what Morganne calls them anyhow.  God made these amazingly fun little, flying seeds to entertain children- and adults every spring.  We went for a walk yesterday and Morganne discovered (and pointed out), the millions that are around our neighborhood. What a fun childhood memory...

Just had to share a very cute shot I got of her while out playing in the yard.  She is really growing up and lately I've noticed her face changing from baby to little girl.  Our beautiful little girl!

This last week we were blessed to have Papo and Phyllis return to Indiana.  We have missed them all winter.  Kaelynn finally got to meet her "Great" Papo!  And boy was he excited to meet her too!

A four generation family photo!  Those are two very proud Grandad's.  We are so blessed.
Welcome home Papo and Phyllis!!!

Lastly, had to incude another cute picture from today.  My kids...  :cP
