Summer fun with the grandparents, and a few Kaelynn firsts!

 Warning, lots of pictures ahead!!!!
Grandma Sue came to visit this week and the 4-H fair was going on.  So lots of activity, lots of heat, and a very tired, though happy family.  We went swimming one evening and the water temp was 90 degrees, it felt so good!  There are more pictures of Kaelynn because Morganne decided that she didn't want to swim and refused to get back in the water.  Not sure what that is about....  She is definitely a stubborn child :cP.
Grandma and Daddy putting Kaelynn in the floaty ring.  It proved to be a bit big for her and she didn't stay in it long though.  She loved the water!
Mommy and Kaelynn time....

We've ventured out to the fair a few times already and are planning to go again tonight.  Fair food only comes around once a year!!!  Plus, Morganne really got excited to see all the animals this year and we know so many kids showing and with projects that we had to go see as many as we could.  I can always talk Justin into going for the gigantic ice cream cones and elephant ears.  We look forward to the State Fair next month!!  We already have plans to go twice!
Grandad smiles so much when his "girls" are around.  I love watching him with them.
Grandad helping Morganne enjoy her very own "kids sized" milk shake.
Stopping in to see the Lentz kids show their goats.  Kaelynn got lots of attention from Mary and Grace.  The fair is a great time to see friends that we may only run into 1-2 times a year.
Morganne petting a Llama!  This was even more exciting when another Llama escaped and had to be corralled after running lose around the tent a few times.  We just told Morganne to stand still and watch and  luckily they caught him quickly.  Morganne thought it was pretty crazy.
What Kaelynn thought about the most of the fair....
Walking with her two special Grandmas....

Nana found a new Exer saucer (the only thing "baby" we still didn't have) for Kaelynn at a garage sale and she loves it!  It's a really nice one and oh so cheap!  I love garage sales!!!

This last week we began feeding rice cereal to Kaelynn too.  She didn't quite know what to think about it and I'm pretty sure more food came out than stayed in this first time feeding.  She has gotten the hang of it quickly though as last night she ate every drop!  I can't belive how old she is already, time is flying by so fast.

It's been such a fun, busy last couple weeks.  All of this paired with Justin now playing in two softball leagues, it's been rather crazy.  We are so blessed.

Updates

Kaelynn had her four month check up last Wed. She now weighs 14lbs. 8 oz and is 26in. tall.  She's in the 75% for weight and 95% for height and very healthy.  She is definitely a Mommy's girl through and through and likes to give everyone else grief when I'm not around.  She sure lights up the room however with her beautiful smile and bright blue eyes.  She's naturally gotten the nickname "Bright eyes".  Such a sweety.

Morganne had a check up last week also, with her ortho specialist regarding her hip.  The hip looks completely normal though she has become "knockneed" in her stance.  So, what we thought would be our last visit with Dr. Berrios, he now would like to follow her for another year check up.  He said that "knockneed" is very common up until age 7 or so.  If she is still "knockneed" at age 10 they actually do a surgical procedure, but we didn't get into details about that.  We'll worry about that if it continues.

Here are some pictures from the last week:
Kaelynn

This age is so funny.  She gets into such an oral fixation that she goes after anything around with her mouth.  Here I caught her about to latch on to Daddy's hand.  Too funny.  She makes me smile...

Comparison photo of Morganne at just two weeks shy of Kaelynn at this age:  Similar but different.  Still can't decide who they look like though, other than each other!

Morganne and Daddy had fun in the sprinkler, trying to beat the heat and humidity.  Morganne was sure to thank God in our evening prayers for the water and sprinkler.  Thanks Nana, for letting us borrow it!
Even Mommy and Ripken got into the fun with the encouragement of Daddy and Morganne

We'd also like to welcome the newest "McCormack" to the family (Holly's cousin Amanda):
Maci Nicole Dean (only 5lbs. 9oz. and 19inches tall!!!)  She is absolutely a beautiful baby and oh so tiny!!

4th of July fun!

Kaelynn and her new friend Ali celebrating their first 4th of July!!!  Aren't they adorable!  (Ali is 6 weeks younger than Kaelynn and belongs to good friends, Nick and Cassie)
Justin and Curtis eagerly waiting....
Is the parade coming yet!?!?!?

Morganne and Uncle Bryant
How Kaelynn spent her first 4th of July parade....
The parade is here!
Nicci and Kevin enjoying the shade and holding Kaelynn before the parade began.
Once again we were blessed to be invited over to the Hickson's for lunch and to watch the parade in their front yard.  It was HOT, but a lot of fun and Morganne loved it!
The glowing Brittany and her little man.  So pretty and pregnant.
This "big men in tiny cars" routine really got a laugh out of Morganne.  Along with an Uncle Sam puppet atop a car.  She let out a laugh so loud that the driver heard it and stopped to laugh and point out Morganne.  It was quite funny.
Best Buds, Morganne and Curtis
It was way past bed time- for both Justin and I and the girls, but we are so glad we ventured out to watch the fireworks.  Both girls LOVED them.  Kaelynn was entranced by them and Morganne kept screeching with excitement.  Ever since she keeps asking to see them again.
It was a great day and we are still recovering from all of the excitement.  It was a fun day spent with family and friends.  What good memories....
