#*%?! Kidney stones!!!

As I sit here typing this I am cursing kidney stones as they slowly try to escape my body.  It's not been a "fun" last three days, though many fun things have happened for us.  I am scheduled for a contrast CT scan tomorrow morning and an appt. with a physians assistant to see what is going on.  I will follow up with my urologist on Monday if not sooner depending on their findings.  Oh joy.  Thank God for meds!

Over the past few days we were blessed to attend a "VICTORY" party in celebration of Jenny Tuggle's "cancer free" diagnosis in the last few months.  It was such an awesome party and totally God centered.  It was almost overwhelming how much God was felt in that room of around 200+ people.  Check out their blog on our blog list "We kicked Cancer's butt".  I definiely encourage you to read Jenny's source of encouragement Psalm 34.

Now for some quick snapshots from today.  Kaelynn is such a sweety and really has an infectious smile.  It amazes me how much I can love these girls.

This isn't the greatest photo, obviously, but it really show off Mo's big blues.  As a mom of blued eyed girls (never in a million years would have predicted it!), I am always amazed how often people comment on their "big blue eyes!"

So far, they absolutely adore each other!  We'll see how long that lasts!

my first baby photo shoot

Last week I was fortunate enough to be able to take some newborn photos of the new Lucas Hicks.  I can now see why professional photographers charge hundreds of dollars for their sitting fees. Between the two hours taking the pictures and the 6 or so hours editting, I spent quite a bit of time working with these photos.  And, because I'm me, I'm not as thrilled as I had hoped to be with them.  There are some that I really like, but again I just wish I knew how to use my camera better and had some training.  I learn more about the editing software every time I use it.  I can see myself getting better with time and practice, I just wish I knew more now.  It truly helps though with adorable models and great natural lighting in their upstairs bedrooms. It is always fun hanging out with the Hicks' clan too and they were kind enough to share their dinner with us.  Here are some of my favorites from the day.  I hope Brittany and Bryant can find a few that they like too....

Yesterday we had a great time visiting with my grandparents for the afternoon.  I didn't take too many pictures (I know, surprise!) but here are a few.  I need to take some good pics of my own girls for a change lately.

 

For an update on us as a family: We are all doing well.  Still staying  very busy.  Kaelynn now has two teeth and is loving eating more solids!  She is sitting up on her own (though still in that stage where she'll fall over and can't get back up).  She is a very happy little girl and loves to smile at people, much like her older sister.
