Last Saturday we went to the KLOVE Light Up the Night festival here in Lebanon! It had bounce houses for the kids, face painting, and one of our favorite bands as the headliner, the Rhett Walker Band!!! Then to end the night it had one of the best fireworks displays we've ever been too, all while blairing RWB music in the background. Such a fun evening and to top it off, it was free!!!
We hung out with friends all evening too to make the night even better!
Swim Lessons started Monday. Kaelynn LOVED it! She spent the entire week with a huge smile on her face the whole time she was in the water. Such a contrast to her sister's first week when she was 3! Kaelynn shared her class with her buddy, Lucas, and Morganne has Curtis and Livie in hers. Things are always more fun with friends. So far, we've had great weather too, which has made watching lessons comfortable too!
By the second night Kaelynn figured out that she could "swim" around on her own in her floaties and from that point on would not stay on the steps and didn't want "help". She also learned quickly how to go under water, jump off the side, and kick kick kick!
Livie is still learning how to jump in feet first. So far she's truly mastered the belly smackers! That is a lesson Morganne finally conquered last year. Here is a funny pic I took of Liv. If only she could fly, it would make the landing much easier!
This week was also the start of VBS. This year we were blessed that both girls got to go. Thankfully, they bent the rules a little for us and since Nana was teaching, Kaelynn got to go into the 2-3's class, usually reserved for volunteer's kids only. It helped tremendously so that Nana could watch them all week for us since our daycare lady was on vacation. One day at VBS was crazy hair day. This was our attempt at some crazy hair!

On top of VBS and swim lessons this week we also had a make-up softball game Wed. night after swim lessons, and then another game this morning. Needless to say, we are all a bit exhausted and ready for some "down" time. Though, that's not really going to happen. We've got more swim lessons, more softball, and then a mission trip coming up this next week. Oh the busy joys of summer!
