Fun with friends and a very busy week

This past week was absolutely crazy busy but a whole lot of fun.  On Monday night we had dinner at my parent's with my Aunt Becky and Uncle Ken, before they headed back to Virginia.  We truly don't get to see them enough and miss them in between visits.  Then Tuesday we were invited over to our good friends Steve and Sue Schlesinger's house for dinner.  On Wednesday, Justin had the day off with me and we decided to take advantage of the wonderful Children's Museum membership, thanks to the Gosewehr's :c), and spent the majority of the day there.  Other than being totally packed- we forgot it was Christmas break still, we had a very good time.
Then Wednesday night we had the Geutersloh's over for dinner.  It was great spending time with Niki, Cooper, and Gracie.  We haven't seen them much since Garrett was stationed in NY.  We are fortunate to have Niki and the kids here for the year while Garrett is serving over seas.  The kids had a blast playing all evening.  We set up Morganne's new Christmas present from Aunt Becky- a huge tent and tunnel.  It was a lot of fun watching the kids slide into the tent and crawl out the tunnel.  Though I think we need a bigger house!
Thursday brought about some last minute changes to our plans.  Justin's grandma has been in the hospital for almost 4 weeks now and the latest news was that she most likely wasn't coming out.  So, Justin decided he needed to head south to see her.  Sue and Fred called Thursday and said that they were headed our way and would be heading to Kentucky to see her too, so Thursday night turned into having Sue and Fred and my parent's up for dinner.  We were supposed to go out with Lynsey and her man, Nick, but since Nick couldn't come anyhow, Lynsey also tagged along and we had a nice dinner at Arni's!  Friday, Justin headed to Kentucky after work and I ended up taking the girls to Brittany and Bryant's for New Year's.  We didn't make it to midnight, ended up coming home around 11:30, but we saw the ball drop at home and called Daddy to wish him a Happy New Year.  Praise! Turns out Grandma Peg is doing better than expected and should be moved to a rehab hospital by the end of the week.
Saturday, Justin got home late afternoon and we had dinner at my parent's. The traditional pork, cabbage, and mashed potatos- boy was it yummy!!!  Sunday, we went to church, then Derek and Lynsey came to drop off Annabel and Asher for the afternoon while they went to the nail-biter Colt's game.  Fred and Sue came back here early afternoon too and helped with the kiddos while I cooked dinner.  Then, we headed out to a goodbye open house for our dear friends the Shultz's, who are headed to Haiti for at least a year.  They are such a special part of our lives and church family that they will be missed terribly.  But, they are an encouragement to us in their faith and they will be doing some awesome work while gone.
Now, it's Monday and we are taking a lazy day at home.  Whew....

Fun with Cooper and Gracie!!!
I think we need a bigger living room!!!

This was a funny picture I had to share.  Morganne goes and gets her sunglasses to read.  After she puts them on, she says, "ok now I can see to read!"- I think she's spent some time with her Grandad!! :cP
 Fun with Annabel and Asher

Happy New Year everyone!!!
