What an awesome day!
Often, when something excites Morganne she will say something such as "Someday I'll fly in an airplane!" or "Someday I'll drive a tractor!" Well, today was an absolutely fun filled, enjoyable day and Morganne got to achieve 3 of her "Someday" moments.
My grandfather is a volunteer for the Whitewater Valley Railroad and this year he really wanted us to bring Morganne and Kaelynn out for A Day with Thomas the Tank Engine. It truly was a great day. When we arrived we parked at the local high school and decided to take the shuttle to the festivities. When a school bus picked us up, Morganne excitedly proclaimed "Mommy, is today Someday!?!?!" I said "Someday, or do you mean Sunday?" She answered, "Someday!" and Justin, understanding what she was leading to, responded "Yes, Morganne, today is "Someday", you get to ride in a school bus!" It was a great moment. Her other "Someday" accomplishments today were to ride in a train, and ride a horse! The weather was perfect, the girls were very well behaved and so excited, and it was great spending time with my parent's and grandfather. Not to mention we made Grandpa's day by allowing him to show off the girls and his love of trains.
Meeting Sir Topham Hatt.... Morganne cracked us all up when she literally cackled with her understanding a funny moment and said "Ha! Ha! Ha! He can't talk!"
Meeting the Station Master... Morganne got to help yell "All Aboard!" (I did get video too....)
Waving to all the people outside...
Kaelynn loved it too!
Pony rides! And yes, she picked this pony because of it's name! (After we read all the names to her...) "Hey, that's my grandpa's name (giggle)!"
Thrilled about getting to jump in a bounce house.
Our day began with an awesome morning at church where we found out that one of our 16 year old youth group kids committed his life to Christ at church camp last week. We are so thankful and proud or him (Really doesn't get much better than that.) Then we had a great day with Thomas, then dinner with Grandpa, and DQ on the way home for dessert. Really doesn't get much better. God is so good.
Sounds like an awesome "Someday." The photos are great!
