Saturday evening we were blessed to be able to get tickets to the "trial run" of the Polar Express in Connersville, IN. My grandfather is a volunteer for the railroad so each volunteer was able to bring limited guests for free on their "trial run" weekend. The Polar Express will run for the next 4 weekends, 4 runs per weekend. It was a fun experience and a good time spent with Grandpa.
Here comes the train!
Kaelynn played "Peek-a-boo" with a few different kids her age during the ride. This was cute. It's funny how 2 year olds all speak the same language.
A picture with the conductor.
Waving to cars as we cross the road.
This. is. Kaelynn.
Enjoying cookies and hot cocoa and meeting another conductor.
The North Pole.
The anticipation of meeting Santa. (We don't "believe" in Santa, but it's still something to get excited about.)
Here he comes....
Getting a closer look at the North Pole.
Each child got a silver bell (the "first" gift of Christmas from the book)
Great-Grandpa loved spending time with his girls!
On Sunday we got to go celebrate my cousin Rebekah's 13th birthday. The girls adore Rebekah!
