Home improvements

A couple weeks ago, Justin took on a huge project that has been in the making for about a year now- a new patio!!!  He worked SO hard at making our back yard so much nicer.  I am very greatful- it's now beautiful!  He took a week off work to complete the project, but as with most things, life happens and he has now been having to work on it when he has time.  All it needs now is finishing sand and it's complete.  We have already eaten a few dinners on it with the nice weather.  It really makes a huge difference.  Here are some pictures of the progression:
Before
After breaking up the 8" concrete step and walkway with a jack hammer. It was quite the workout for him.

A helping hand....  Or not so much.  But she thought it was great to be out "helping" Daddy.

It never failed, as soon as Justin started out to work on the patio it would either be boiling hot and humid or pouring down rain.  He was quite the trooper!
And, after nearly 3000 bricks, 3000lbs. of sand, and 3000lbs. of rocks, the (almost) finished product!!!  It's beautiful and not to mention a whole heck of a lot less muddy!

I had to add a few photos of the girls too.  Kaelynn is growing and changing so much.  She is REALLY looking like Morganne did at this age, even to the point that she's losing her hair like Morganne did too and I'm highly suspecting it to come back blonde.  So much for a brown haired, brown eyed little girl!  :cP She is now sitting, though a bit wobbly still, in her Bebe pod seat.  She is able to enjoy the world from a more upright position and I think she likes it!  I can't believe how fast the past 3 months has gone.

My blue eyed beauties!

Conversations with a two year old...

I picked Morganne and Kaelynn up from daycare yesterday and the conversation on the way home made me smile.  It displayed the fact that Morganne is learning her "position" words, and showed some of her funny, talkative personality.  It went something like this:
"Mommy, a school bus!"  (I didn't see a school bus, but she gets very excited and always points them out.)
So, I asked "Where, I didn't see a school bus!?"
She replies "It's over there somewhere."  (This conversation was funnier, if you could have heard her voice inflections.)
"Somewhere, where?"
"It's behind the trees!"
"It's behind the trees?"
"No, it's below the stars!"
"It's below the stars?"
"No, it's above the clouds!"
"It's above the clouds?"
"No, it's behind the building!"
"It's behind the building?"
"No, it's in Mommy's van?"
"It's in the van?"
Morganne, "No, I'm silly."
and then she proceeded to begin singing "The wheels on the bus".....
Oh, conversations with a two year old. :cP
